  • Responsible for realizing the targeted turnover and margin of chrysanthemum with new and existing customers in the assigned region.
  • Coordinating and taking care of smooth handling of the chrysanthemum order flow in Colombia. Providing support and organizing of the transport and necessary documents.
  • Reporting the correct cultivation areas of the chrysanthemum varieties of Royal Van Zanten in Colombia to facilitate correct invoicing of the royalties in both Antioquia and Sabana area.
  • Providing general support to the responsible Area Export Manager and other stakeholders.

 Position in the organization

Resorting under Commercial Director and working in the field with theArea Export Manager.

Social interaction

Internally – Engages with(foreign) colleagues such as AEM, Product Management, Production, breeders Chrysanthemum, Customer Service and Financial department. Coordination of workload with the Area Export Manager.

Externally – Regular contact with customers, suppliers and transport companies, written and in person.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the execution of sales-, market-and accounts plans

  • Frequent evaluation of the sales- and account plans, in coordination with the AEM Colombia.
  • Executing of sales and account plans following SMART formulated targets.
  • Keeping contact by telephone and mail with growers, agents, distributors and visiting them frequently to advise them and keep them updated on assortment, market, product introductions and actual sales.
  • Supporting customers by providing them variety specific information and growing advice.
  • Pick up and translate market information in order to update sales forecasts and choices in assortment (internally)
  • Responsible for the organization and feedback of commercial trials at clients’ farms in the assigned region.

 

Responsible for easy and quick handling of orders, contract(extensions), complaints and transport.

  • Main contact for customers for running and future orders, contracts and complaints
  • Play a proactive role in creditmanagement in coordination with the financial department in the Netherlands

 

Responsible for the royalty administration and -reports for chrysanthemum in Colombia

  • 5x per year visiting clients in Bogota and Medellin
  • Drafting visit reports
  • Checking license and royalty invoices before sending these to the customer

Responsible for the organization of the vitrina greenhouse

  • Coordination of customer visits to the vitrina greenhouse.
  • Coordinating plantings(based on order albeit trials) including planning of production of cuttings, assigning orders and expedition thereof, in coordination with the Production Manager.
  • Organizing open flowering events and flower trials.

Requirements

Function level

  • Higher education or equivalent level attained by experience
  • Experience in sales in flower industry
  • High level of Spanish and English language written and orally
  • Prepared to travel with a certain frequency within Colombia and abroad
  • Operating logistic and other operational systems (BC, Mercado, Excel and more)
